Is there a way to detect if someone is on a mobile? (Blackberry, Iphone, etc)

My client asked me to do a version of her website for mobiles, because the one they have right now uses flash. My question is, is there a way to detect and redirect the user to another url (website.com/mobile), if he is on a blackberry or iphone?

Is the web server Linux or Windows IIS. If Linux I have a php script that will help you detect, symbiam, iPhone, iPad, Blackberry, etc.
