    write within multiple textboxes

    Hi,

    I'm looking for a way to write(type) within two or more textboxes at the same time. So if I would write ''hello'' in textbox A, this word will show in al other textboxes (type input - not textarea).

    Thanks

    Lightbulb Something to try ...

    Something along this line ...
    Code:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>Ditto TextBox</title>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    // For: http://www.webdeveloper.com/forum/showthread.php?t=238802

    function Ditto(info) {
      document.getElementById('subText1').value = info;
      document.getElementById('subText2').value = info;
      document.getElementById('subText3').value = info;
    }
    </script>
    </head>
    <body>
    Main entry: <input type="text" id="mainText" value="" onkeyup="Ditto(this.value)">
    <p>
    Text 1: <input type="text" id="subText1" value=""><br>
    Text 2: <input type="text" id="subText2" value=""><br>
    Text 3: <input type="text" id="subText3" value="">

    </body>
    </html>

    Yes, that is exactly what I was looking for, except that all text boxes would do the same, so I changed your code in to this:

    Code:
    Text 1: <input type="text" id="subText1" value="" onkeyup="Ditto(this.value)"><br>
    Text 2: <input type="text" id="subText2" value="" onkeyup="Ditto(this.value)"><br>
    Text 3: <input type="text" id="subText3" value="" onkeyup="Ditto(this.value)">
    But now I see the copy/paste function is not working. Is there a way to make that work? I think I would have to change the ''onkeyup'' but I'm not sure with what to replace it..Any help would be appreciated.

    I don't understand. What copy/paste? Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V? Copy from and where to?

    What browser are you using?

    Works fine for me in FF between the 4 elements present in the script.

    You'll need to be more descriptive of the problem for me to help.
