    Prototip (Prototype) inside a TinyCarousel (jQuery)

    Hi there,

    I'm trying to build a website which features a couple of building plans of the school I go to with on them the locations of all the available printers.
    These plans are all CSS image maps and when you click on a printer a prototip balloon (http://www.nickstakenburg.com/projects/prototip2/) appears containing some info about the printer.

    This all goes very well, as you can see on http://www.bkprintplan.nl/site/example.php

    Now I want the user to be able to scroll between the different plans using a jquery content slider called Tiny Carousel (http://www.baijs.nl/tinycarousel/).
    You can see this working as well on
    http://www.bkprintplan.nl/site/index.php

    The problem is, when I combine the 2 pages, the prototip doesnt work anymore. As you can see from the source code of the index.php file, the tiny carousel is loaded in the <head> tags and then activated in a <div> called #slider. This contains an unordered list with the different slides.

    How can I get the two scripts to work together? Help would be much appreciated!

    Regards,
    Tim

    I think a lot of Javascript framework choose $ as their shortcut (why I also dunno!)

    Look at http://docs.jquery.com/Using_jQuery_...ther_Libraries. Extracted below.

    Code:
    <script>
         jQuery.noConflict();

         // Use jQuery via jQuery(...)
         jQuery(document).ready(function(){
           jQuery("div").hide();
         });

         // Use Prototype with $(...), etc.
         $('someid').hide();
    </script>

    They won't. Either you will use only one of them or you learn JavaScript and create your own codes.
