Just as it says: "Simply copy the following lines of code and insert them between the <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags in your HTML document. "
Metatags can vary a lot, so it's not surprising that you'd get two slightly different versions of them. If in doubt, post them here for comments.

Title and Meta Tags Example:

<title>Your Web Page Title</title>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Language" content="en">
<meta name="description" content="Your description">
<meta name="keywords" content="keyword1, keyword2">
The viewable content of your Web page.
