png fillter on IE6 for sprites

Hi

For IE6 png transparency issue , I am able to get the fix for it by applying the filetr on the image but I am not able to apply the filter on a sprite and retieve the image from the sprite using the background position then I still get the grey background.

for one image here is teh filter I apply:

filterrogidXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src='abc.png', sizingMethod='crop');

but how to use it for a sprite

Can somebody help me how to use sprites on IE6 for transparent png's.
