    Question Content moving outside surrounding divs

    I have a problem with the style of my webpage. When the text/content is REALLY long, the text runs outside of the white box (in CHROME). Please help.

    You can view the page here...

    http://hollywoodfldentists.com/?page_id=23

    Below is the code for the content and side boxes (you can also view the source of the page)
    Code:
    <div id="maincontent">

    <!-- CONTENT -->
    <div id="content">
       <h1>HEADER</h1>
       <h2>SUBHEADER</h2>
       <p>CONTENT</p>
       <p>CONTENT</p>
       <p>CONTENT</p>
    </div>

    <!-- SIDE BOXES -->
     <div class="side">
    	<div class="sidebox">
              <div class="sidehead_visitoffice"></div>
              <div class="sidetext">CONTENT</div>
    	</div>

    	<div class="sidebox">
              <div class="sidehead_services"></div>
              <div class="sidetext"> CONTENT</div>
    	</div>

    	<div class="clear"></div>
            <div class="clear">&nbsp;</div>

    </div>

    </div>
    Here are the major styles (viewable here: http://hollywoodfldentists.com/wp-co...heme/style.css)

    Code:
    #mainwrap		{ margin: 5px 3px; }
    #maincontent 	{ padding-left:20px; padding-top:20px; line-height:20px; background:#FFF }

    #content	{ float:left; width:600px;}

    /* SIDE STUFF */
    .side					{ background:url(images/side_back_main.jpg) repeat-x top left #f0f9fb;
    						  float:right; width:236px; padding:0px 20px 20px 20px; margin:0 20px 20px 20px; }

    .sidebox 				{ margin-top:20px; }

    .sidehead_visitoffice	{ font:bold 14px Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#FFFFFF;
    							width:236px; height:30px;
    						  background:url(images/side_head_visitouroffice.gif) no-repeat top left #0f94a1; }

    .sidehead_services		{ font:bold 14px Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; color:#FFFFFF;
    							width:236px; height:30px;
    						  background:url(images/side_head_services.gif) no-repeat top left #0f94a1; }

    .sidetext				{ padding:10px 10px 10px 10px; line-height:1.4em; color:#000;
    						  background:url(images/side_back.jpg) repeat-x top left #e7f5f9; }
    Please help. Thanks

    This seems to work, just add these where indicated:
    Code:
    #maincontent {
    	margin-bottom: -2985px;
    	padding-bottom: 3000px;
    }
    #mainwrap {
            overflow: hidden;
    }
    You dont have to remove or change any of the other code used. Also you can see those 3 properties added and working at http://dev.noas.com/tester/test.html til tomorrow or whenver i delete it.

    Wow, that definitely didn't work. Even on your test page all of the content is gone.

    Its definitely a problem with the side content ... if I remove the side info, then the white box wraps around the content

    The content and box were still sliding out of the maincontent div... so I just added a background color to the mainwrap id. That seemed to fix it... Still dont know why the maincontent wasn't holding the content in.

    Code:
    #mainwrap		{ margin: 5px 3px;  background:#FFF;}
    #maincontent 	{ padding-left:20px; padding-top:0px; line-height:20px; }
    If anyone knows why it didnt work with the maincontent, and why the text was expanding outside that area, let me know. I thought it was a problem with overflow, but any changes I made using that style didnt work.
