Visual Studio Pro/Web Dev. Internal Browser

I just don't get it. What is the purpose of design view if it is not going to display what a typical browser is going to display? VS's internal browser displays my web code exactly as I want it, but I find that when I open up my page in a web browser like Chrome, IE, or Firefox, the page is absolute madness. Headers, buttons, text is all in the wrong place.

Why? Why does design view exist?

I guess you could straightaway use IE or FF to test your visual studio applications rather than use the internal browser.
