    Unhappy First website, footer issues

    Hi guys,

    I am new to the whole web development arena but am doing ok on my own so far. Currently I have an issue with my footer, which for some reason seems to have a margin/padding below it that I cannot get rid of. My code is below:
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd">

    <meta name="keywords" content="security, consultancy, information, data, digital, cyber crime, data protection" />

    Can you post your CSS as well? Hard to tell where the problem is without the CSS. I could only guess (first guess is the <p> tag at the bottom of the footer).

    Also, and this is totally unrelated to the problem you're having, but it looks like you accidentally split some CSS off into actual tag attributes instead of putting them into a "style" attribute:

    HTML Code:
    <a href="http://twitter.com/Jacarandaboy"><img src="/img/icons/socnet/twitter40.png" width="39px" height="39px" padding-top="5px" alt="Twitter"/></a>
    should be:

    HTML Code:
    <a href="http://twitter.com/Jacarandaboy">
        <img src="/img/icons/socnet/twitter40.png" style="width: 39px; height: 39px; padding-top: 5px;"
            alt="Twitter" />
    </a>
    (There is no attribute "padding-top" in HTML, only in CSS)
