How to create a footer similar to TAZ?

(I'm not intentionally advertising, it's just one of the sites I've visited that has a footer that I want) How would I go about creating a footer such as the one The Admin Zone has? I know how to place the background and everything of that sort, I just don't know how to separate my content into three even lists like they have done... And even put a little image at the very right. Can someone explain to me how I would go about getting this done? I want to add it to my community to add some extra information and content, but I haven't been able to figure out what to do.

I know that they are using the float property, but how exactly are they doing it?...

If I float one list to the left and one list to the right, the left one goes way left and the right one goes way right.

How do I fix this?
