Unhappy Authenticated Get Request to Google???

How do you send an authenticated GET request to Google for a CSE?

I have tried a few ways and no joy...

Here is what is says on this page:
    http://code.google.com/apis/customse...html#searchbox

Retrieving the Code for the Search Box

If you are using a Search element with a full-width or compact layout, you only need to retrieve the code for the search box. The search results are displayed directly under the search box, in the same webpage, as soon as your users send their queries. However, if you are using a Search element with a two-column layout, you need to retrieve the code for both the search box and the search results. For more information about Search element layouts, see Designing the Look and Feel with the Control Panel.

If you are using a Google-hosted search engine, you only need to retrieve the code for the search box. The search results page is hosted by Google, so you do not need to handle it.

If you are using an iframe search engine, you have to retrieve the code for both the search box and search results page.

To get the code for the search box that you can insert into an HTML page, send an authenticated GET request to the following URL:
    http://www.google.com/cse/api/default/cse/<CSE_ID>/code/searchbox.

The following is an example of a GET request that retrieves the search box code for a particular search engine.

    HTML Code:
    GET http://www.google.com/cse/api/default/cse/tubigakawal/code/searchbox
    Authorization: GoogleLogin auth="IM6F7Cx2fo0TAiwlhNVdSE8Ov8hw6aHV"

    Any ideas?
I'm pulling out the very last of my hairs...

All I need to do is turn the Google generated JavaScript into HTML...
