Hiding / encrypting streaming and downloaded content
I'm putting this here as I think there are quite a few solutions to what I want to achieve.
A client needs a website built that will allow it's clients to stream or download content / files securely. Would the best way to achieve this be use https, vlan, or some other method?
I understand the likely hood of an ISP snooping in on traffic is very small, but the client want's to eliminate the possibility just incase, for data protection etc.
Is there a way of dynamically building a VPN for a login session, so the website and its content is only accessible over that? Or would a https connection allow you to encrypt the files being downloaded so a vpn wouldn't be necessary?
What are your thoughts and suggestions?
