SVN dir isn't password protected?

I've set up a SVN repo and use it with web addresses. Somehow over the last month I've made an Apache conf change and the address isn't protected. Any recommendations on what would override and undo permissions?

Your config looks standard and correct. Your problem must be coming from elsewhere.

I'm still not seeing what this would be? If I comment out #SVNParentPath /ABC/svn-repos nothing works, so it's used. The httpd.conf file is included after modules are loaded in apache2.conf so mod_auth should be running. There's nothing in the error logs? Drat.

Looks like it was the "Require valid-user." The Apache docs should be more consistent about when it's required with Apache versions.... I couldn't get "require valid-user" but "require group subversion" working for posts.
