image over lay on text?

Hi all.

I had a brain fart and was thinking it would be cool if I could over lay an image on top of some large text. or some how use say 200 px bold text as a mask for an image.

The effect would be that only the portions of the image inside the text would be displayed. I would like to do this with css if I can as I do not want to have to create new images in photoshop for each section of my site. it would also allow me to change the images with easy via php or have them scroll slowly across the text.

Is this possible with css3 or maybe jquery or another method?
