Update Decimal datatype with Null Value

Gang,

While using SQL SERVER, I was wondering if a Decimal data-type can be updated with a Null Value?....I have the NULLABLE option for the Decimal field set to TRUE...but still not able to pass the NULL value.

It has been a while since I've been on SQL SERVER.

CAST(NULL as DECIMAL) is very unfortunate and clunky, but you might achieve what you're wanting. You must spell everything out for SQL SERVER, which is annoying but I'm sure there's a good reason (other than being statically typed).
