Query on javascript

Hi guys,

I am currently working on a login page.
I used the show_prompt() box and set a login name.... only if i enter the name which i had given during the coding works. And i want that after the login is over i get other facilities like displaying date time etc....
I want it to login first
then greet the user (Welcome +name)
then "click here to proceed"
then "date time" etc...
