I just took over a website that was completely created in Joomla. Users register and pay small fee per month via paypal, and they get access to all of the articles and the website.
My desire is to convert this to wordpress. However, how would I get the already existing accounts into wordpress, and how would I be able to make pages of the wordpress (or categories of wordpress posts) such that only registered and subscribed (paying) customers can access them??
I am not familiar with either Joomla or Wordpress, so I cannot comment on your actual question. However, it would seem to me that a lower risk option would be to learn Joomla instead.
