New help to improve google ranking!

    Hi all,
    Happy New Year!
Please tell me where I can get some help for improving google ranking on our site, paid or free.
It is a new open food online market place: HomecookingX.com, where you cam list/sell/buy food and food service (cartering or personal chef). Food delivery also made easy with our network of pick-up and delivery.

Thank you very much for your help!

Well the paid thing is more for Yahoo, which doesn't seem to crawl your site unless you ask them nicely, or pay them. Google's usually pretty good about that. I find it's by FAR the most common bot on our sites, outnumbering the others about 10 to 1.

Your site appears fairly bot friendly, so I can't see why you're having a problem getting ranked. The site could use a redesign though.

Here run this to check your keywords are being used in your page content enough.

I think the more search engines you get on the better.

This is what Google has to say.

Also good links are good traffic is good.

Your already using your alt attribues(important).

    Use your heading tags too.

Cleaning up your coding might help a little as you do have stuff repeated when theres no need make full use of your CSS.

    Robots like clean coding too.

Thanks so much for the advice!
Is this really worth the money to pay Yahoo to get our site ranking up?
Yahoo search submit is $49 per URL per year and Yahoo Directory Submission is $299/per year.
If it is worth the money to pay yahoo, which one is better or I have to do both?
    Thanks in advance!

I would just pay yahoo. Google will eventually index you on their own.

Well I would not pay to improve my ranking.

I have managed ok without paying.

Most important thing of all at the moment is good relvent content. Make sure it is updated often and original they dont like copyed content. Also make sure there are no spelling mistakes.

You are on MSN so google will get you soon.

I find it does take Google a little longer to index sites.

I am new to this and got a bit confused.
I think that our site is indexed by google, when you do google search you can see it.
Why do I have to wait for google to index our site? Please advice.

I was worried that our site PR is still 0.
I did not actively list my site on other high ranking sites.
Does paying yahoo improves my PR?
What if I will buy ad words from google, will that help us?

    Thanks again!

No at the moment you or listed as coming soon This domain name was recently registered at register.com.

Which means you have been submited (they know your out there) but they still yet to crawl your website with the bot.

Once they have crawled it it will then display your discription and title instead of the messege it displays now.

Then you should be able to find it though the keywords you have choose.

As for your PR that wont go up for a while you only hav 12 links to your site and I should imagine the traffice though your site is also very low until these things get better your rank wont go up.
    Link Check

Anyways google PR is not the be all and end all this does not get updated often and is out of date in a majority of cases. I am in better place on a search than other sites with better PR.

As for paying I dont know cos I have never paid to get a better rank.

That link is very handy, it's certainly explained why one of my sites had such a low page ranking in google compared to the other search engines. Before the keyword relevancy was 13% now it's about 85%. It's made me focus more on what content is appearing on the home page and adding keywords of choice into home page sentences.

    Why pay Yahoo?

My site is listed with them and I never paid.

Sayin that although it is listed with Yahoo if you try searching for it it is near enough non existant.

Where as google it is #1 in a few diffrent searchs and in the top 10 for another few searchs same with MSN I rank well.

With my new site I registered it just under a fortnight ago. I then placed a link to my new site on a site which Google frequently crawls. Though I did then manually submit to Google last Friday by this Monday the site had appeared on Google. Just goes to show that sometimes placing links to your site on a regularly crawled site can be quicker that directly submitting to Google.

Hi, To improve Google ranking you need quality content on site and you have to earn backlink from sites with good PR.
