Designing ideas for a large list

Whats up everybody. I'm trying to come up with a simplistic way to organize a huge list with over 75 items in a compact size. These elements would be divided into 12 categories, each category has 4 to 20 items.

Rather than just listing the 75 links, i was thinking of using a big accordion menu that resizes. Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated, thx

How are the links grouped? That will be much more important. Grouping them in functions is what I always try to do.

I think tabs are a much more familiar concept and less confusing than accordions. 12 categories, or 12 tabs would probably be too many to arrange horizontally, arranged vertically would work well.
