    Did you know that (not including this one) at 11:23 (GMT) on average every member of this forum has posted 8.4 times?

    Did you also know that in the last sort of 8 hours about 5 people have signed up to this forum, which means that all our averages have just been lowered!!!

    Not necessarily (or even likely). If your 8.4 posts per users average was correct (I've not checked), then it would only take 42 posts in the past 8 hours to keep that average the same. I'd be willing to bet there were more than 42 posts made in 8 hours, which would increase the average. Not sure who would care, but...
