    Question Answer please...

I think i posted this already in quick reply but I couldn't find it so replying to the thread sorry for that. But can I get an answer on this?

    “<script href=”js/scripts” /></script>” is correct? Or <script src=”js/scripts.js” /></script> is better?

One problem I've found with developing HTML5/CSS3 web sites is validation:

    a) The excellent WDG HTML validator (which will validate a whole site in one go) is not HTML5 compliant.

    b) The W3C HTML5 validator will validate only one web page at a time.

This makes validating a cumbersome process, particularly when you need to validate CSS3 and the links as well. I can't do anything about the limitation of validating one page at a time, but I have written a front-end for the W3C validators that:

    a) Will validate the HTML, CSS and/or links of a web page in one go.

    b) Uses pick lists to select the web page to validate.

    c) Dynamically generates the pick lists from sitemap files in text or XML format.

    d) Has ">" (next) and "<" (التسوق الالكتروني ) buttons to allow you to step through validating a sequence of pages without having to pick each one from the pick list.

I would be grateful if people who have or are developing HTML5/CSS3 sites would give the front-end a try, particularly if you have already set up a sitemap of a small to medium size site.

    Known limitations:

    a) It still will not validate a whole site in one go.

    b) Once they are generated, the pick lists are passed via the GET mechanism, (to avoid re-reading the sitemap files every time). That limits the size of the pick lists that can be used.

    c) The "Validate" button may not work sequentially on the same file. The work-around is to use F5 to repeat a validation.

Further instructions are written in the utility: http://www.emberwebsites.co.uk/html/

    Thanks

I'll happily answer any queries, but please note that the W3C have just released a beta of their own validation suite. I have not had time to check it out, but it is available at http://validator.w3.org/unicorn/

Have you built an HTML5 and/or CSS3 site?

We are creating an HTML5 & CSS3 site using Wordpress.
    Any tips?
Max width for the ipad? Many people will soon be adopting this screen resolution as opposed to 1024X768. Any other recommendations about including Wordpress plugins SEO tips?

    My one-page master-piece.

    #The URL of the site:

#A description (text) of what elements of HTML5 or CSS3 you used:
Mainly I'm using the rounding and shading effects of CSS.
Using the html5 doctype, and adjusted coding to suit.

#Information on why you chose HTML5:
It is the latest version, I had to relearn some basics to start my project.
My site is coded for the future not the past. (despite all the hours making it look half decant in IE7 -.-

#Anything cool about why/how/where you used HTML5/CSS3 (brag a bit!):
Rounding and shading is cool right? no...?

#What category your site falls into: entertainment, multimedia, reference, social, education, productivity, sales, other?:
Well sales, in June anyway. Though i have plans to add a social bit for bands possible, and there will be reference guides and multimedia of our small bands we will hopefully be supporting.

#Does your site support IE pinning? (if you are not sure, then the answer is no):
No. But i googled it and want it -.- its on the list.

#What browsers is your site optimized for? (Firefox, IE, Opera, Safari, Chrome, other):
I aimed for general compatibility, My site works and displays perfectly on Iphones and Ipads, and all the browsers mentioned above.

    Thats PlecPicker

Can anyone please help me with this embedded code, to stop autoplay in the blog.

    <div id="vnVideoPlayerContent"></div><script>var ven_video_key="KzEyOTkwOXx8OTk4";var ven_width="405";var ven_height="325";</script><script type="text/javascript" src="http://ventunotech.com/plugins/cntplayer/ventuno_player.js"></script>

As soon as the blog opens the video automatically starts. Can you please let me know how to stop this.........I have tried to do a bit of tinkering with the code but it did not work.

Any help from you would be highly appreciated.

The nodecopter demo is HTML5 and CSS 3D animation. Most of the other links on the page go to projects using HTML5 and CSS(3).

Not familiar with this, but I would check to see if there's an API for the "ventuno_player.js" and look for stop/start/pause/resume commands you might add to the script above.
