Need help making a one-variable calculator

Hey so I need help with a script that i need to make for my class and i cant figure out how to do it...

I need to program a calculator of wind direction where each wind direction is assigned a different numerical value:

N-2
W-10
E-1
S-4

There would need to be a space to input the wind direction and then it would output the numerical value assigned to it.

This can't be done in html, so I'd ask the question in a forum where programs can be run... probably the language that corresponds to the class you're taking.

sorry dude... I'm not able to help you. First you should tell me which language you making class??
Like C, C++, java etc.
So may be then i m able to help you.
