    why do we have to ping our site/blog for every update or post we make ?

    Also pinging will help in indexing your post or webpage quickly otherwise it might took some time for crawlers to index that corresponding page .

    It is not necessary to ping website or blog after each update. However, it is helpful if your blog posts are not getting indexed in search engines.

    Pinging is basically method of knocking the SE to crawl the newly updated content at any website.So if there is any update to your website then it will tells the SE to crawl that fresh content.
