How to write a TAB char?

I need to write TAB character or something similar to separate 2 words, but not by "& nbsp;".

Do you know that?

Curious problem. Can you separate the words by using a <span class="space"> and writing the css

There is no tab character outside of the PRE element as all other whites pace is nomalized. In HTML you're not supposed to do what I think that you are trying to do.

pernaps a <span class="tab"></span> with a pre-defined margin/padding, if you want to simulate a "tab" in html
