    message box

    Hi all,

    can you please tell me how to make control (message) like on this image:

    http://upload.slike.com/slike/4EtgY.jpg

    I presume that control is onClick event of dropdown and when you click message box with severity appears.

    I am beginner in JS/Web development, sorry if this is lame question but I would be very grateful if you provide me some example/hint how this is done

    Best regards,
    Domagoj

    This is page source:

    <div id="severitySelection" class="select">
    <label for="type">Severity:</label><select id="createANewCase:severitySelectionMenu" name="createANewCase:severitySelectionMenu" class="severitySelectionMenu" size="1"> <option value="4 (Low)" selected="selected">4 (Low)</option>
    <option value="3 (Normal)">3 (Normal)</option>
    <option value="2 (High)">2 (High)</option>
    <option value="1 (Urgent)">1 (Urgent)</option>
    </select>
    </div>

    This message appears when I click on dropdown box; but there is no onClick event or similar ...

    There are many methods of extracting information from a page, and events could be initialized using JavaScript, completely hiding the event trigger from the HTML.

    Yes, I realize it is hidden.

    Can you please direct me to some similar javascript code (message box called on some event e.g. click)?
    I tried to find something but don't know what to put in google (javascript message box?).

    Thanks in advance & best regards,
    Domagoj

    I think you should try to learn more before jumping into tasks like this. There is very complicated code going behind it, and to be honest I find the practicality of it almost useless. Maybe try learning about things like JavaScript DOM and CSS. That is really all that goes into making that kind of stuff.

    Yes, I agree it would be good to study first; but I dont have time for that.
    I am not Web developer; this is some task by side ...
    Anyway, I like Google and found:

    This is exactly what I need; ready solution to implement ;-)
