Database is generating unwanted and unexpected files
Using Front Page, I have created a website called Pivotal Kids. The home page is http://www.pivotalkids.com . Recently, in analytics, I have discovered new files that I didn't upload and that are not visible to me in the database. My hosting support says they were generated by the database.
Here are some examples:
I accepted paid advertising for the site recently that seemed strange, but not anything bad or illegal.
Can you suggest how these files are being created and more importantly, how to get rid of them and stop them being produced? Please and thank you!
I'm guessing the paid advertising is generating the pages by the looks of the URLs for the generated pages.
So if I remove the ads will the files go away, or do I need some way to remove them?
If the files actually exist, they should be on your server. They could, however, be generated on the fly and look like actual files from the end user's point of view.
I will contact the person who paid for the ads and see what he says. If he cannot help, I will remove them and see what happens.
