    Cool install

    do i really have to install php in my machine for the php connections to work?

    May I ask what the connections will be made to?
    Is it safe to assume, you meant connection to a database server?
    Are you running a local web server?
    If yes, then you need to install PHP in order to use it.
    If however you are operating from a hosted web site, then everything is done on the server-side.
