I have developed the following code that displays my flash insert OR if the browser does not read the flash/swf then it will display the gif animation version. It works perfectly on firefox and perfectly on ie (displaying the flash). The problem that I am seeing is that on my iphone that doesn't display the flash but displays the gif alternative, it creates a large "voided" space above the gif file (maybe like a holder for the flash that is not displayed??) anyway... I need to get rid of this voided space..... (There is NO voided space on firefox or IE)

Here is the code:

<!--[if !IE]> -->
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="Slideshows/MSH800-300.swf" width="850" height="300">
<!-- <![endif]-->

<!--[if IE]>
<object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000"
width="850" height="300">
<param name="movie" value="Slideshows/MSH800-300.swf" />
<param name="quality" value="high" />
<param name="play" value="true" />
<param name="bgColor" value="#FFFFFF" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
<embed src="Slideshows/MSH800-300.swf"
width="850" height="300"
pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" />
<img src="Slideshows/MainFlashBanner-GIF.gif" width="850" height="300" />
<!-- <![endif]-->
