    Try this (it works fine for me):
    Code:
    <div class="wrap">

    	<div id="right">
    		<p>Some content goes here.</p>
    	</div>

    	<div id="branding">
    		<img src="http://www.ukbodybuildingforums.co.uk/images/misc/vbulletin4_logo.png" alt="UK Bodybuilding Forum" />
    	</div><!-- #branding -->

    </div><!-- .wrap -->
    Place the new <div> inside class="wrap"
    and give the new <div> this css:
    Code:
    #right {
    	width: 200px;
    	height: 125px;
    	background-color:#00FFCC;
    	float: right;
    }
    I've set W & H and given background color just so you can see where the <div> is.... remove or alter as needed.
    Best wishes,
