Thread: this.value?

    I've seen multiple tutorials on javscript use this code "this.value" what the heck does "this." do? what is the profit of using it?

    Also, when figuring out something like collision detection, or an animation path array using javascript, what does parseInt() do when calling that function better then just called it normally?

    Somewhere behind your screen
    this means the current element of DOM (which is being clicked or 'current in a loop' or else)

    parseInt returns the numeral part of a string
    xxx: Guess Buddhist riddle: "What is the sound of one hand clapping?"
    yyy: facepalm
