I vote that we give it a rest for a year or two to see if the definition changes any over time

A back link is an inward link to your site that may or may not be reciprocated with an outward link back. If page A links to page B then a back link would be a link which goes from page B back to page A.

Hope you have understood what are the back-links. And you need to know back-links are the currency of any websites. So you should get some good and high PR back-links to get maximum exposure for your website.

Kinda' strange topic, I should admit. Just wanted to ask if the definition of a backlink had ever changed - for I just don't see anything to be changed since the early days of the Web. Am I wrong or what?

would this be considered in SEO perspective?
