Everything was working fine til Friday afternoon. I can no longer bring it up and when I try and log in to the ftp I get an error. I can see the site on my Iphone so it must be up???
When I try to go through my browser my connection times out. When I ftp in...I get:
'An ftp connection to "ftp.collinspark.us" could not be opened because the connection timed out. There might be a problem with your network, or the server might not be responding'
I get my internet through Comcast...could maybe Comcast be blocking the site?? It's never happened before.
No, just that one. It's weird because I could see the website when I went to check it through those hide-my-ip websites. I could even log into the control panel. They had a section for blocked ips but the list was completely empty??
I ended up having to do my updates through my cell phone but that's not really a good long term solution.
I'd suggest that you contact your host to see if your IP is being blocked.

This is exactly what happens when your hosting company blocks the IP address of the machine you are using to do the updates. You can neither view the site any more nor log in to the FTP... your IP address is being blocked by the server.
