    frame alternatives

    1. What are good frame alternatives ?
    2. Will iframes scrolling be taken away, and if so, will that mean there will be no way to scroll up and down in an iframe ?

you can use DIVs with an overflow attribute. then use jquery, php, or ajax to pull external content.

Why not consider the OBJECT element? This got a bad press years ago because of poor implementation in many browsers, which is still reflected in on-line references. But times have moved on. I haven't done any formal cross-browser testing, but a simple GIF animation worked in IE8, IE9, Chrome and Firefox. I haven't tested on mobiles. Just a suggestion...
