Thumbs up Unable to display the PDF object in IE6,IE7,IE8. It works chrome, firebox and IE8

    Hi,

I would like to request help to resolve a IE browser incompatiblity issue which are facing in our Java based application. One of the pages of the application contains a link which opens up a PDF in a new browser window. In IE8( and lower versions), the page shows an error ("Internet explorer cannot display this page" or Blank page). However, we are able to access the pdf in Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and IE9. The java class which generates the PDF uses the classes from iText.jar (version 2.1.4 or 2.1.7).

If anyone has faced a similar issue before or have any resolutions, could you please help us resolve this? We tried out a couple of options, but could not resolve it with that.

We started noticing these issues after the Oblix migration to SiteMinder for the authentication and authorization in the application. This migration was done by a third party vendor, where in they installed the SiteMinder Webagent on the Webserver and modified the webserver config files.
