I am currently building a personal website for my drawings and want some images to scroll onto the screen from multiple directions and will stop at a certain location for a while then carry on moving with a different image following it.

This website http://www.noregretsstudios.co.uk does pretty much what im thinking of using php i believe but i am quite new to coding and im not sure how to achieve this.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.
