PHP other uses

As you know PHP is pretty powerful and I was just curious what projects people have used PHP for other then web development.

I have used PHP to create mail deamons, chat server deamons, backup software, back up databases/repositories, network scanners and some other misc command line tools like image resizers, image compressors, file checkers.

What have you guys used PHP for other then serving HTML?

I've made scrappers, data/log parsing, point of sales, media listing/grouping for audio/video on comp & media pc, firewall whitelist manager for game server query attacks..

That is pretty cool stuff. Did you run into any memory leak issues with any of the projects?

No, anything to do with parsing or loading data was all done in chunks and flush'd
