    Moving a WP Blog

    Hey,

Im looking to rename the folder my wordpress blog is in, currently its /horrorblog but i want it to simply be /blog as it looks better and is easier to remember.

When i renamed the folder it mucked everything up. Is there an easy way to do this?

    Any help is appreciated.

The site is - Horror Movie News

    Hi,

you can move your blog by doing this:
    1) Make a copy of horrorblog into /blog directory
    2) Login in Admin /horrorblog/wp-login.php
    3) Then Go to Settings > General and change

WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) to http://www.horrorwarehouse.com/blog

next is to install a plugin that will redirect old links
    http://horrorwarehouse.com/horrorblog/?p=192
    to
    http://horrorwarehouse.com/blog/?p=192

I strongly recommend that you enable permalinks.

    I use http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/redirection/

Did you follow the steps I outlined?
First make a copy and then do the step 2?

The redirection plugin is called "Redirection " I provided a link.

To enable the permalinks you have to go in Settings > Permalinks

just copy you folder to different folder and then rename from the setting by login as admin.
