I am working with TaffyDB. A fairly decent client side database module for javascript.

I am having some trouble inserting new "rows" into the database. I followed the syntax from the website located here: http://www.taffydb.com/ but to no avail.

I hope someone has worked with this and can point me in the right direction or maybe notices something I am not in my code.

Currently I don't get any errors from anything which is almost more frustrating that getting errors. The database just doesn't update at all.

This is a short snippet of my code that will serve as an example of what I am working with and towards.
Code:
<!DOCTYPE>
<html>
	<head>
		<meta charset="utf-8" />

		<script type="text/javascript" src="taffy.js">
		</script>

		<!--<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="database_temp.js">
		</script>-->

		<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">

		var db = TAFFY([{record:1,text:"example"}])

		function add_scope_section()
			{

				var num_sections = db().max("record");
				alert(num_sections);
				var section = document.getElementById("new_section").value;
				alert(section);
				var scope = document.getElementById("new_scope").value;
				alert(scope);

				num_sections = num_sections + 1;
				num_sections = Number(num_sections);
				alert(num_sections);
				db.insert({record:num_sections, text:"example2"});

			};

		</script>
	</head>

	<body>
	<h2>Add Something New</h2>
	<!--Add new section and scope to the database-->
	<h3>New Section and Scope</h3>
	<form name="form1" onsubmit="add_scope_section()" enctype="multipart/form-data">
		<label for="new_section">New Section: </label><input type="text" name="new_section" id="new_section" \>
			<br />
		<label for="new_scope">New Scope: </label><input type="text" name="new_scope" id="new_scope" \>
			<br />
			<br />
		<input type="submit" value="Submit Form 1" />
	</form>

</body>
</html>
