<object data target ?

Hi folks,

I'm tearing hair out over this routine. Basically, I am avoiding iframes (as people usually tell me to?) ... so thought I'd try and build a page with 3rd party content using the param <object data=...">. The problem is, after each selected option, my IE browser opens new tabs.

Now, iframes are easy, as I still in TARGET= params, but can't seem to find any joy with <object data.

Any help or direction appreciated. Will provide code example or links.

Oh well, looks like I am on my own .. so may fall back to iframes for a small area of external content control. At least I know that I can target the same browser window with iframe parameters.
