htaccess question

Hi all,

I'm new to .htaccess files. Some help would be great if poss - thanks.

I need to redirect my entire site to a new domain, EXCEPT for a few files and one directory.

I can work out how NOT to redirect one particular directory, but how do I not redirect a number of files in the root directory?

(If it helps, what I am specifically trying to do is redirect a site running wordpress, but I still require access to the wordpress admin area for the original site).

Any help would really be much appreciated!

You have to use same syntax for each file

like,
redirect 301 / http://www.new domain.com/

to the .htaccess file at the top.
