strange container appearance in ipad

Hello

Im having difficulty with my site on the ipad.
My container holds everything, and is set to center.

position:relative;
width: 980px;
height: 720px;
margin: 0 auto;
border:solid 1px #FFF;
z-index: 0;
}

Why, in ipad, does my site appear to have 5mm padding on the left side, and fit too snug to the right side?
does this when held vertically and horizonally?

Ive really tried to solve this on my own, but cant figure it out!

i m not sure because i did not test maybe position:relative or margin: 0 auto; is causing the problem. try removing/replacing one by one
