Force landscape orientation with low screen resolution

My company's website works well on desktops and laptops but on smartphones the portrait orientation distorts the test. Is it possible to use JS to detect the screen resolution and then force the smartphone to use landscape only orientation?

no, but you can use css media queries to present a better site to all users.

i guess you can use -webkit-transform: rotate(90deg); in a orientation media query, but some may hate for it...
