<a> Button Display on IE

To make an <a class="button"> based button, I used the CSS:

.button:link{
border-radius: 5px; /*and other settings*/
}

This presents the button with a round corner on Firefox, but a squared look on IE (9).

Is there way to make the corner round a bit on IE?
