Any examples or tutorials of syncing audio with a scrolling text?

I've googled for tutorials on something like this, have found a few things but since I'm new I'm just not crafty enough to make the necessary changes.

I have about 5 paragraphs of text I want to slowly scroll while an MP3 reads along with it. I've found some examples that get a big too complex for a newb like me. Any help would be much appreciated.
