Could someone please point me in the right direction towards building a JavaScript News Feed??

Basically I want to build what you get on Facebook News Feed but in its simplest form.

I would like to click a button and for the feed to randomly display either 1, 2 or 3 messages.

With the latest message/s appearing at the top and previous messages appearing underneath.

It's for my game, any help is greatly appreciated.
