How do you limit the physical range of highlighting text?

    Hello

On many websites, if you highlight text in the Body, the highlight does not stretch across the entire width of the window. However, I am not able to set this property for the website I`m currently working on and have not been able to find relevant information elsewhere. Could someone on this forum advise me how to?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Below is a cut-out from the website showing the text highlighted beyond the left and right margins of the wrapper. What I would like is to limit the width of the highlight within the wrapper.

well this is not a feature or anything that we have much control on i believe. this depends upon how your page layout is and how text is shown in it. also different browsers behave differently for select/highlight text.

however you can disable text selection to some extent,
