Creating a public server using windows server 2008!

Hey so here is what I'm trying to do! I have windows server 2008 on a computer and I'm trying to turn it into a web server! Now I know you need a static IP Address! What I want to do is make it so if I type in www.whatever.com from any computer it will pull the site right off or my server! I just haven't figured out how to do it yet! Can someone please help me thank you in advance!

now you need to register your desired (available) domain name and set it up with your static IP
