    Difference between drupal and joomla

    Difference between drupal and joomla

1.Drupal is much more flexible when it comes to the development and setting up the theme and layout of the website. Joomla! is known to be surrounded by the paradigms set by itself, and offers less scope to be flexible.

    2. Joomla! is easy and fast to operate and implement. On the other hand, Drupal is quite a tough nut and have always been the choice of comprehensive businesses and enterprises.

    3. If we put it in a precise manner then, Joomla! offers a nice, professional looking website with a slow, categorised, and limited options, while its actually vice versa with Drupal.

4.Backend admin functionality with the Drupal is not that good, while Joomla! is comparatively better.

5.The Drupal codes are more professional and skilled and of a quality, while it lacks in the case of Joomla!.

Drupal and Joomla are two of the most popular and capable open-source content management systems powering dynamic websites. They share many similarities, including open licenses, strong developer communities, growing market share and a predisposition for LAMP-based (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) hosting environments. Both systems are also market-proven and flexible, able to deliver content management functionality with ease and support other types of features at varying levels of expense.

Drupal has a superior architecture and very SEO friendly. It can cater to your needs, it can be used for a simple FAQ site or a very large million visitor site. -

Hey,The usage of both platforms is on the rise, the differences comes is in their markets. Joomla has been favored by small to medium business market largely due to the ease in theming.Joomla extensions are plug and play requiring and offering less customization whereas, drupal has been widely accepted by the enterprise market for medium to large projects.

Drupal is the second most popular content management system available today. Drupal can be set up for anything from a simple blog to a content portal used by large corporations.
Joomla is often thought of as the compromise between WordPress and Drupal.

    1. Wordpress is at one end of the range, being easiest to use and not suitable for complex projects, Joomla is in the middle, and Drupal is at the other end of the range being the hardest to use and most suitable for complex projects.
    2. Joomla easier to install and configure than Drupal. It is also easier to develop custom functionality for Joomla when compared with Drupal and Wordpress.
    3. Drupal is more suitable for complex projects than Joomla is caused by evaluating the CMS's from a webmaster's perspective rather than a programmer's perspective.

If you’re setting up a site which you believe will grow rapidly from day one, and require extensive features for the users, Drupal may be more in line with what you need. Joomla is great for those somewhere in the middle, or anyone looking to add social networking to their pages.
