Buying domains can be a tricky issue. A crucial factor in the success of an online start up is a fantastic domain name. It is easy for people to remember and link to the site. Domain names should be easy to spell, easy to say and have a .com extension.

If the domain name aptly represents the industry or niche it does business in, it can get direct traffic where users type it into the address bar and reach the site. It also represents your company in cyberspace and is the first port of call online.

I think that making your domain name a memorable company name in your domain is way more valuable in terms someone remembering it rather than just trying to stuff in keywords

If you are buying already existing domain name then you can check the Domain authority and page rank so that you can check that how much traffic that domain earn and how much it will be costly but if you want to register new domain then the name selected should be descriptive, should not much long and it should easily retained by the people.

Aged domains can save you months of hard work, giving you a foot up in your niche. You can gain leverage with aged domains as Google gives more confidence in older sites, some can be purchased through Domainka, Namecheap and Godaddy.

Domain is the most important part of your online business,
A domain must be simple, short but not too short,
    Unique,
Avoid using numbers or hyphens in middle of domain name,
    Avoid using old domain names,

    I agree with you.......

Also, if a domain has hyphen and it is short of 3 characters like d-m.com then it value may be more than x,xxx
