SSL vs. Client Authentication Certificate
I have a site (Server 2008, IIS 7) where we only allow certain IP's to access the admin of the site. One of the clients who need to get into the admin has a dynamic IP and is causing us to have to add them every other day so that they can do their job.
I did some research and found some information about creating a certificate and having the user install it into their browser.
My question is, if we already have an SSL on our server, and do this client certification for the users, is it going to interfere with anything, or cause any problems? Also, I'm still learning how to create a certificate for this company so that this could be accomplished, so if anyone has a good tutorial or anything, that would be most appreciated as well.
