Seeking help from a programmer that can finish my auction website

Hello to all, I just registered to try and help me find someone who is a programmer and can help me finish my website, i hired a company and its just turned 3 yrs old and he/they cannot finish it, I prefer a u.s. programmer simply for the fact this site is very American driven and I prefer that someone in the states reply, can anyone help me? my email is gunauctioner@gmail.com and i'll be reading this thread daily.

There is no guarantee that finding a programmer here will get your site finished. Like any other task, hiring someone for a job requires due dilligence on the client part.

Do check for references and portfolios.

If possible, start with simple tasks and pays in small amount. Check if the programmer is up to the job. Try splitting your website into sections and have a chosen programmer work on it. Once you are comfortable with the programmer, then you can hire him/her for the full job.
